The company has been awarded the project through its US subsidiary, Greening USA, and has signed a construction contract with the facility owner, Zelestra.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The solar plant will sell renewable energy through a renewable energy certificate (EAPA) purchase agreement to support the operations of a large technology company in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The plant, located in the state of Indiana, will occupy a total of 183 hectares, equivalent to 454 football fields.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Greening Group, a global and diversified company focused on the generation, construction of projects and commercialisation of renewable energy, has been awarded the construction of a 60MWac photovoltaic power generation plant that will supply renewable energy to a large technology company at one of its facilities in the state of Indiana, United States.<\/p>\n\n

The group has been awarded the contract through Greening USA, and the construction of the plant will be carried out on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis.<\/p>\n\n

Major boost to growth in the United States<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u2018For Greening Group, this project is definitive proof of the success of our commitment to the North American market, which now accounts for 40% of our total portfolio,\u2019 explains Greening Group CEO Ignacio Salcedo<\/strong>. \u2018Our growing presence in the US market is one of the pillars of our 2024-2026 strategic plan, which was announced to the market last May,\u2019 Salcedo points out. <\/p>\n\n

The photovoltaic plant, named the Jasper County Solar Project, will cover an area of 183 hectares (equivalent to 454 football fields) and will have a capacity of 60MWac.<\/p>\n\n

Zelestra will sell renewable energy through a renewable energy certificate purchase agreement (EAPA) signed with the end customer to support its operations in the region.<\/p>\n\n

This project is a milestone for both business groups and reinforces Greening’s commitment to the US market, as announced in the 24\/26 strategic plan published as Inside Information on 10 May 2024 (the Strategic Plan).<\/p>\n\n

Construction during the fourth quarter of the year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Construction of the plant will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024 and continue through the last quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n\n

The new generation plant will help the state of Indiana, which currently generates 10% of its energy from renewable technology, move towards a carbon-free future. The facility will also generate local wealth and jobs for the community. <\/p>\n\n
