data-section-id=\"6auho2\" data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"678\"><strong data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"678\">The initiative reinforces Greening&#8217;s strategy of delivering integrated energy solutions that combine renewable generation, intelligent energy management and storage to accelerate industrial decarbonization.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"1032\"><strong data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"707\">Madrid, August 3, 2026.<\/strong> Greening and ACESUR, in collaboration with the <strong data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"777\">University of Ja\u00e9n<\/strong>, have developed one of Spain&#8217;s first projects to integrate photovoltaic generation, battery energy storage and agricultural production within an operational olive grove in Vilches (Ja\u00e9n), creating a new energy management model for the agri-food industry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1325\">The initiative is part of Greening&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1099\">2026\u20132030 Strategic Plan<\/strong>, aimed at consolidating an integrated energy platform capable of delivering solutions that combine renewable generation, self-consumption, energy storage and flexibility to optimize energy management for industrial customers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1593\">The project combines an industrial self-consumption photovoltaic plant with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installed in a fully productive olive grove, preserving <strong data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1534\">100% of the existing olive trees<\/strong> while allowing normal agricultural operations to continue.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"2054\">With an installed capacity of <strong data-start=\"1625\" data-end=\"1637\">3.65 MWp<\/strong> and more than <strong data-start=\"1652\" data-end=\"1682\">5,150 photovoltaic modules<\/strong> mounted on elevated structures over four metres high, the installation enables renewable energy generation while maintaining day-to-day farming activities. The <strong data-start=\"1843\" data-end=\"1875\">3 MWh battery storage system<\/strong> provides the flexibility required to intelligently manage the energy produced, increase self-consumption and adapt energy use to the operational needs of the industrial facility.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2056\" data-end=\"2304\">Thanks to this solution, ACESUR is advancing towards a more efficient and competitive energy model by reducing its exposure to electricity market volatility, optimizing energy costs and strengthening the sustainability of its industrial operations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2680\">The project&#8217;s scientific dimension further reinforces its innovative character. The <strong data-start=\"2390\" data-end=\"2412\">University of Ja\u00e9n<\/strong> will use the installation as a living laboratory to study the impact of agrivoltaics on olive cultivation, evaluating parameters such as agricultural productivity, water stress, soil temperature and the interaction between energy generation and agricultural activity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2680\">&#8220;The energy transition is no longer just about generating renewable energy. The real value lies in managing it intelligently. This project demonstrates how integrating renewable generation, storage and flexibility enables more efficient, resilient and competitive energy solutions for industry.
