Greening continues to advance its own-generation strategy with the completion of the Antequera-Casabermeja photovoltaic plant, located in Casabermeja (Málaga, Spain), a new asset that strengthens its growth as an Independent Power Producer (IPP).
Madrid, 7 de Abril de 2026
The company has successfully completed the construction of this project on schedule and within budget. With a total installed capacity of 21.5 MW, the plant is now part of Greening’s operational asset portfolio.
This milestone marks a further step in Greening’s evolution towards a fully integrated energy model, focused on the development, construction, and operation of its own renewable generation assets.
The plant will generate enough clean energy to supply approximately 12,000 households per year, while avoiding nearly 10,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, contributing directly to the decarbonization of the energy system.
A project driven by talent and commitment
The successful delivery of Antequera-Casabermeja has been made possible thanks to the effort, dedication, and technical expertise of the entire Greening team, who have worked intensively throughout all phases of the project.
This asset reflects not only the company’s operational strength, but also its ability to execute complex projects while meeting the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Next step: hybridization with energy storage systems
As part of its commitment to innovation and energy optimization, Greening is already working on the hybridization of the plant with battery energy storage systems (BESS). This will enhance the plant’s flexibility and operational efficiency.
This integration further reinforces the company’s positioning in advanced energy solutions, capable of addressing the evolving needs of the energy system and its customers.
Driving growth across key markets
The commissioning of Antequera-Casabermeja is aligned with Greening’s roadmap to expand its renewable footprint in Spain and across its key international markets, promoting a sustainable energy model based on owned assets.
The project has also been supported by financing from Qualitas Energy, strengthening strategic partnerships that enable the development of new renewable infrastructures.
